TobyMac to appear in Convocation next week

Liberty University alumnus and Grammy Award-winning artist TobyMac (Toby McKeehan) will return to his alma mater on Wednesday, Oct. 31, as the featured Convocation guest.

McKeehan, whose musical career got its start at Liberty when he joined fellow students Michael Tait and Kevin Max to form the hit Christian musical trio DC Talk, has won seven Grammys and 19 Dove Awards. His eighth studio album, “The Elements,” was released earlier this month.

Since graduating from Liberty, McKeehan has performed on campus numerous times. He will perform at this year’s Winterfest, held Dec. 30-31 on Liberty’s campus. The event is the largest Christian New Year’s music festival on the East Coast. During his Convocation appearence, McKeehan will perform and sit down for a Q&A session.

Next week’s Convocations will also include visits from Virginia’s candidates for U.S. Senate and the 5th and 6th Congressional Districts, hosted by the Center for Law & Government in the Center for Music & Worship Arts Concert Hall on Monday, Oct. 29. On Friday, Nov. 2, Convocation will feature a special screening of Dinesh D’Souza’s new film, “Death of a Nation.” A live Q&A session with D’Souza about the film will be held on Monday, Nov. 5.
