Lady Flames fall in Big South championship game

No. 1 seed Liberty fell to Gardner-Webb 67-66 in Sunday’s Big South tournament championship game. It was the Lady Flames first loss in the title game in 14 trips.

Liberty got to the finals by after opening the tournament Friday with a 51-44 win over Coastal Carolina and then defeating High Point 76-55 on Saturday.

Liberty finishes the season with a 22-10 record.
