NFL chaplains, Fox News anchor slated to speak next week

Liberty University students will hear from an influential podcast host, chaplains in the NFL, and an award-winning news anchor in next week’s Convocation.

Monday, April 2:

There will be no Convocation due to the Easter holiday (no classes).

Wednesday, April 4:

Calvin Nowell is a songwriter, marketing expert, and host of “Show Up Podcast,” a creative lifestyle podcast designed to release your potential for greater emotional, physical, spiritual, and professional wellness. Convocation will also include a Q&A session with leading NFL chaplains who will be attending a retreat on campus. They will talk about their investment into some of the most prominent and influential athletes.

Friday, April 6:

Harris Faulkner is a newscaster for Fox News. She is the co-host of  “Outnumbered” and the host of “Outnumbered Overtime.” Faulkner is the winner of six Emmy Awards, including Best Newscaster and Best News Special. Her visit will be during College for A Weekend, where thousands of high school students and their families will visit Liberty’s campus. In Convocation, Faulkner will talk about her “9 Rules of Engagement,” which include all the lessons she learned as the daughter of a combat pilot about leadership, dealing with difficult people, and grand decision making.

April marks the 50th anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There will be a special time of prayer, music, and reflection to remember his life, legacy, and impact on the nation.
