Flames taking part in ESPN’s BracketBusters

The Liberty University men’s basketball team steps out of Big South Conference play on Saturday to host Iona in ESPN’s Sears BracketBusters. The action tips off at 3 p.m. and will air live on ESPNU, which is available on many cable and satellite outlets across the country.

Liberty is looking for its sixth 20-win season in school history. The team is currently 19-9 overall and 13-3 in Big South. Iona, a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, enters the game with a 17-10 record.

The Flames have already secured at least an opening round home game in the Big South tournament. Tickets for the March 1 game are currently on sale here.
