Cook family donates funds for new tennis center

Liberty has 12 new tennis courts; the first set of six was constructed last summer, and an additional six were constructed this summer.

Liberty Athletics has announced that longtime supporters Sherwin and Lora Cook have provided the lead gift for the Cook Tennis Center, soon to be the new operations center for its men’s and women’s tennis programs.

The facility will be constructed adjacent to the program’s 12 new championship tennis courts located on Liberty’s Campus North. The 2,500-square foot building will house two locker rooms, training and laundry rooms, a stringing room, four offices for coaches, a kitchen area, team room and a balcony that will overlook the tennis courts.
