Falwells spread Christmas cheer among Liberty faculty and staff

On Friday, Liberty University employees gathered together to enjoy food, music, and fun during the annual President’s Christmas Reception held at the Food Court at Reber-Thomas.Liberty’s dining hall was transformed into a gingerbread village covered in snow. Red and green lights cast a festive glow over Christmas trees decorated with candy canes. A band played familiar Christmas tunes and a photo booth was set up with fun props, where faculty and staff took pictures with friends. President Jerry Falwell and his wife, Becki, fellowshipped with employees throughout the event.

Dining stations were renamed in honor of the Christmas season with names such as “We Wish You a Merry Main Dish” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeersserts.” Guests even got the chance to decorate their own gingerbread men with their favorite candy toppings.

The reception is one of many events held throughout the Christmas season as the Liberty community gathers together for the holidays.
