‘Duck Dynasty’ rolls onto campus in Wednesday’s season finale

The Season 9 finale and 100th episode of A&E’s

Members of the Robertson family, stars of the reality TV show ‘Duck Dynasty,’ visit with Liberty University President Jerry Falwell and his family during the filming of the Season 9 finale in August.

The Season 9 finale and 100th episode of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty,” airing at 9 p.m. EST on Wednesday, March 2, will feature Liberty University prominently as the Robertson family makes a stop along their road trip to drop off John Luke Robertson and his wife, Mary Kate, for their first year of college.

The TV crew spent a full day filming across campus last August, including at the Hancock Welcome Center and Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre. The footage will be featured in the two-part “RV There Yet?” episode.

“This upcoming episode is one of my favorites,” John Luke Robertson said. “Going to college isn’t always easy (as you will soon see), but we would not want to be anywhere else other than Liberty. We are proud to show off our school to everyone who watches ‘Duck Dynasty.’”

John Luke and Mary Kate are both pursuing degrees in Christian Leadership & Church Ministries through Liberty’s Rawlings School of Divinity; John Luke is specializing in Adventure Leadership & Outdoor Ministries, and Mary Kate is studying Women’s Leadership.

Robertson family members have returned to campus since the filming. John Luke’s mother, Korie, and sister Sadie came for Fall Family Weekend in September, where they spoke in Liberty’s Convocation.
