College For A Weekend reaches record high

The Vines Center was packed on Friday, Feb. 19, as Liberty welcomed its largest College For a Weekend crowd.

A record 2,300 prospective students and their family members have flooded Liberty University’s campus for the semester’s first College For A Weekend (CFAW).

For more than 25 years years, high-schoolers from across the nation and beyond have traveled to CFAW, a symbolic representation of true college life at its best. Visitors stay in the residence halls, attend classes, Friday morning Convocation (a worship service with the student body) and admission sessions, as well as eat in the main dining hall and take part in the many student activities Liberty has to offer.

The highlight of each CFAW is a concert with a popular Christian artist. This weekend, the band Bluetree known for its hit song, “God of This City,” will be playing at the Schilling Center on Saturday night.

The next CFAW will be held April 8-11. CFAW is open to current high school sophomores, juniors, seniors or transfer students, as well as parents, youth pastors, group leaders and sponsors.

To secure a spot for the next CFAW, call (800) 543-5317 to speak with a Liberty representative or e-mail cfaw@liberty.edu with any questions.
