“Game On,” a 30-minute daily sports talk show produced by Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN), celebrated its 100th episode on Friday, June 20. The episode was filmed in LFSN’s studio near Liberty University’s campus early Friday afternoon.
The show, which debuted on Feb. 3, 2014, airs Monday through Friday on various LFSN affiliates across the country.
“Game On” features coverage of the top national and regional daily sports stories, including college and professional sports, in addition to coverage of Liberty’s athletics teams.
The program looks beyond results, statistics, and scores, giving viewers fresh commentary on sports and providing a behind-the-scenes look at the world of athletics. Special segments feature powerful stories of faith and overcoming adversity, including those of prominent sports figures such as Sylvia Hatchell, head women’s basketball coach at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill); Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt; and legendary college football coach Bobby Bowden. Another memorable segment featured a group of Christian players from the Seattle Seahawks on the eve of the Super Bowl.
The show features guest appearances from Liberty athletes and coaches and explores not only their athletic accomplishments, but also how they are Champions for Christ in the classroom and community.
