Liberty Universiwill receive a welcome addition to its parking options when the nine-story Campus East Garage opens on Saturday, Oct 3.
The garage contains more than 2,100 new parking spaces, including 20 electric vehicle charging stations located on the third floor.
The garage will be accessible for faculty, staff, and commuter students Monday-Friday from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. Open parking will be in effect weekdays 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. and on weekends starting at 4 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday.
There are no hourly paid spots or reserved spots.
The garage has three entrances — one on the first floor and two on the third floor. (View Campus East Garage Map)
The new parking option will especially benefit fans who attend events in both the Vines Center and the new Liberty Arena, set to open later this fall. From an elevator on the ground level of the garage, fans can exit to a covered walkway that connects directly to the pedestrian tunnel under U.S. 460, which empties next to both venues.
