Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) has developed educational partnerships with regional healthcare systems which share similar visions and missions for delivery of health to the communities we serve.
LUCOM students have clinical rotation opportunities through these affiliations with quality medical centers and hospitals. Below are the partnerships that exist between LUCOM and healthcare systems.

Centra provides significant clinical training opportunities for LUCOM student doctors.
Receiving several accolades throughout the years, Centra is dedicated to providing quality patient care. In particular, Centra has received certification by The Joint Commission as an Acute Heart Attack Center and Primary Stroke Center. Centra Health Systems is also rated among top hospitals for their attention to patient satisfaction.
Additionally, the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center has received full accreditation with commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.
Halifax Regional Health System
Halifax Regional Health System (HRHS) is a multidivisional organization providing acute and long-term care, dementia care, home health, hospice, behavioral health services and a multitude of outpatient services to approximately 80,000 residents in the region. Governed by a 36-member board of directors, the system serves Halifax, Charlotte and Mecklenburg counties and surrounding communities. Halifax Regional Hospital, an affiliate of HRHS, is licensed for 192 beds. It serves as a Regional Referral Center and provides a wide range of health and medical services for residents of all ages.
Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital
Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital is located in South Boston, Virginia, about 90 miles from Lynchburg. The hospital serves approximately 80,000 residents in Halifax, Charlotte and Mecklenburg counties and the surrounding communities. Services at the hospital include cardiovascular services, emergency services, family birthing center, hospitalist program, imaging/radiology services, laboratory services, nephrology services, orthopedic services, rehabilitation services, and surgical services.
Johnson Health Center
Johnson Health Center (JHC) is a committed health center whose mission is to ensure patient access to primary medical care, oral health, OB/Prenatal, and behavioral health services in the Central Virginia area.
