Children's Book Central is a great place to start for those who are looking for information about children's literature. Available from this site are book reviews, author and illustrator sites, articles on collecting books, places to purchase used books, and discussion groups.

Compiled for the 75th anniversary of National Book Week, this list is intended to introduce children to newer books in the field of children's literature. Well-known classics are intentionally omitted.

Children's Literature Web Guide
The Children's Literature Web Guide directs users to Internet resources related to books for children and young adults. Links include Authors on the Web, Resources for Teachers, Journals and Book Reviews, Internet Book Discussion Groups, and more. 

Database of Award Winning Children's Literature
The purpose of this database is to create a tailored reading list of quality children's literature or to find out if a book has won one of the indexed awards. DAWCL has almost 6,000 records from 72 awards across six English-speaking countries (United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, and Ireland). Click the link "Explanation of Awards" to see a list of awards, their countries, and a brief explanation. Each book is indexed to some degree so users can find it using the form search or the keyword search.

Embracing the Child
Features summaries and reviews of children’s literature, author interviews, and lists of books by topics such as baby-pre-school, bully, award winners, arts & crafts, bilingual, nature, black history, and more. Has a page of links to educational resources. This search tool allows you to search for book recommendations based on a Lexile measurement or by your grade level. You can then click on the “Find in a Library” link beside the title(s) that interest you to see if we have it in our collection. If not, you can request it through ILL.

Young People's Zone
This website offers free e-text of classic books for children and young adults. Some titles offered include: the Anne of Green Gables series, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and the Bobbsey Twins series.
