Lenovo Devices Unable to Connect

Some users with Lenovo computers may have trouble connecting to the Wireless Network, or will be connected temporarily and then disconnect.

The Lenovo Vantage software on those computers is the cause of the issue and blacklists the MAC address on the network. Here is the resolution:

  1. Uninstall the Vantage software from the computer (This includes Lenovo Vantage, Lenovo Vantage Service, and Lenovo Commercial Vantage)
  2. Restart the computer
  3. One hour after the removal of the software, the Lenovo device should be able to reconnect to the wireless network.
  4. If the device still fails to connect after one hour, call the IT HelpDesk at (866) 447-2869
