How The Graduate School Serves You

TGS is dedicated to bringing you distinctively Christian and academically excellent graduate programs. We do this by assisting Liberty's schools and academic departments in graduate program development and maintenance.

Our school coordinates a variety of services through the Graduate Writing Center, Research Ethics Office, and Graduate Student Assistantship program. We also facilitate the faculty-run Graduate Senate and Graduate Administrative Council.

Graduate Writing Center

Develop your writing skills with the coaches at the Graduate Writing Center. Appointments are available.

Graduate Student Assistantship

Add to your education experience by collaborating with professors and providing them with academic support. Not only will you grow both academically and professionally, but the Graduate Student Assistantship (GSA) also provides a scholarship to pay for school and a stipend as compensation for your hard work.

If you would like information about the duties, responsibilities, and requirements for specific department GSAs and TAs, you can reach out to the departmental liaisons.

Graduate Senate

The Graduate Senate conducts the regular faculty business of graduate studies, academic standards and curriculum, and program requirements. It consists of faculty representatives from each graduate program and administrative staff from The Graduate School. The Graduate Senate meets regularly and is coordinated by an executive committee.

Research Ethics Office

The Research Ethics Office supports and promotes high ethical standards in research across various academic disciplines.

Research Opportunities

Graduate Administrative Council

The Graduate Administrative Council (GAC) oversees, plans, and coordinates all graduate programs at Liberty University. The GAC is comprised of all graduate program directors and graduate-related administrators and is chaired by the vice-provost for graduate education & the dean of The Graduate School.
