We aim to support the mission of FIMRC in providing improved healthcare to communities in the developing world. This is done by providing awareness of the growing medical needs in the world, fundraising to support international projects, and by offering medical and humane relief to people, especially children.
e meet once a month for a general meeting. We also include social events to foster a community within the group and fundraising events to fund projects of FIMRC (Adopt a Project). By participating in this club, you gain what you put into it. There are plenty of opportunities to develop leadership, critical thinking skills, teamwork, and many more characteristic valued in a professional setting. You do not have to be a science or nursing major to participate in this club. We welcome all majors.
We have traveled to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic over spring break to serve at medical clinics. We have also fully funded two Adopt-a-Projects through the FIMRC organization.
The Liberty University chapter of Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC) is proud to announce the implementation of a new program, Projects. We have partnered with FIMRC staff in the Dominican Republic to design much needed health promotion courses. Chapter members will have the opportunity to put their research skills to use and create course curricula that will be implemented in the Dominican Republic. Members will also have the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic to participate in foreign healthcare and see their work being utilized first hand.
