Practicum Agencies and Sites

It is each student’s responsibility to find, arrange, and complete a satisfactory field experience that fulfills program requirements. The practicum coordinator and faculty will assist, but the student is ultimately responsible for finding a practicum that will meet his or her particular needs. With students located all over the world, you will know more about opportunities within your community.

Below is a list of agencies and sites that have accepted LU MPH students and other site possibilities. Email the Practicum Coordinator for more details.

Finding a Site

Finding a site can seem overwhelming at first. Make sure your resume is current, then get an idea of what you would like to do. Start with your local Department of Health. You can also search the phonebook or online under categories such as: Public Health Practicum, Public Health Internship, Health Prevention, etc.

If you are willing to travel for a semester, look for opportunities out of your local area.
