  • Location: DeMoss Hall 2nd floor, Grand Lobby
  • Time: 5:30 p.m.

ELI Student Orientation and Testing (mandatory)

  • Location: International Student Center (DeMoss Hall 2nd Floor, Room 2003)
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Required Items: Passport, I-20, and I-94 (Received at port of entry)

Early Arrivals

Students should plan to arrive on campus as close to Wednesday, August 13 2014 as possible

Students who arrive prior to Wednesday, August 13, 2014 may stay in campus housing at a cost of $15/day (with approval from housing@liberty.edu).

If you arrive on campus before Wednesday August 13, 2014, please report to the International Student Center (DeMoss Hall Room 2247- look for signs), which is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. (434) 592-4118.


What to Bring with you to Liberty University (Extremely important!)

Travel Documents

  • Passport
  • I-20
  • I-94
  • Contact phone numbers for your Admissions Counselor and Pick-up Coordinator.  

Medical Records

All immunizations and tests indicated on the Online Health Form must be completed prior to arrival on campus. Students without an approved health form and the required immunizations and tests may be refused campus housing and class registration. Complete the on-line health form before you travel (go to your ASIST account and click "General Information"). Bring your medical records with you.

Spending money (Traveler’s Checks or US cash)

For food, bedding, and other necessities immediately after arriving

U.S. Quarters (25 cent pieces) for making local phone calls after you arrive in Lynchburg. Pay phones often require 50 cents (2 quarters) for local calls. You can also use a US calling card, available at airports, to make local calls or state to state calls.


Making Travel Arrangements to Lynchburg, Virginia

Liberty University is pleased to pick up first-time students from:

  • Lynchburg Regional Airport
  • Lynchburg Bus Station
  • Lynchburg Train Station
  • Roanoke Regional Airport 

To Request a Pick Up:

Students needing transportation to campus from Lynchburg's airport, train station or bus station or the Roanoke airport must complete the online registration form at www.liberty.edu/transportation.  If your travel plans change, please call the Transportation office at (434) 592-3640 to arrange for your new pick-up time within 24 hours.
