Databases by Subject List

To evaluate an article database, look at the database's description for its scope:

  • Subject areas covered
  • Dates covered
  • Types of sources included
  • Types of descriptions provided: full-text, abstract, or citation.
  • Types of periodicals included: scholarly or popular, or both
