ENGR 315 - Fluid Dynamics

An in-depth study of compressible and incompressible flow, boundary layer, sub- and super-sonic flow, lift and drag forces, Archimedes principle, conservation of mass, momentum, and energy. Topics will also include flow measurement; fluid properties; fluid statics; energy; impulse; and momentum equations; pipe and other internal flow. Study will also cover fluid machines - incompressible (e.g., turbines, pumps, hydraulic motors); operating characteristics (e.g., fan laws, performance curves, efficiencies, work/power equations).

MATH 231; ENGR 240
