Liberty University

Located in Central Virginia, Liberty University is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in a region rich in history and culture. The 7,000-acre campus is always expanding and revamping. This past year alone we added a new student center with a large food court, bowling alley, and meeting space; we finished a state of the art Science building, and a 275-foot-tall Liberty Freedom Tower that houses the School of Divinity.

Academics

The primary mission for Academic Affairs for Athletics at Liberty University is to provide continuous academic, athletic, social, and spiritual development for each student athlete. Utilizing the expertise of our staff in collaboration with institutional programs at Liberty University, our student-athletes receive professional advising, career and academic skill development, tutoring, and mentoring services. Our program assists student-athletes in finding and maintaining a balance between the demands of athletics and academics while preparing them as socially responsible individuals for life after athletics.

Liberty Tennis Facilities

The Cook Tennis Center serves as the home to Liberty University's men's and women's tennis teams.  Liberty Athletics announced the plans for the facility in November 2010, after Sherwin and Lora Cook pledged the lead gift for the tennis teams' new homes. Completed in early September 2011, the Cook Tennis Center contains all the necessities for a top-tier program in one location. On the ground level, student-athletes have access to men's and women's locker rooms, a training room and a stringing room. Upstairs features coaches' offices as well as a team room. Just a short ride from campus, the Crosswhite Athletic Club is equipped with five indoor tennis courts, giving Liberty top-notch facilities for both indoor and outdoor play.

Tennis Strength & Conditioning

Liberty University’s new 60,000-square-foot Liberty Athletics Center (LAC) integrates academic study areas with state-of-the-art rehabilitation, strength and conditioning facilities, academic and administrative offices, equipment room and a student-athlete refueling station. The building, situated behind Osborne Stadium and the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex near the Liberty Baseball Stadium, held its grand opening on Nov. 3, 2017. Approximately one-third of the space is reserved for academic offices, tutoring centers, a classroom and numerous academic enhancement areas. Designed to be the central hub for Liberty Athletics, the facility includes an Olympic sports weight room and an athletics training facility for short- and long-term rehabilitation of Liberty’s NCAA Division I student-athletes. The three-story building also houses an equipment room to service Liberty’s Olympic sports and a prominent refueling station located in the building’s main entrance for use by Liberty’s Sports Nutrition staff.

Nutrition

The Department of Sports Nutrition at Liberty University (LUSN) will create a culture of awareness on fueling for performance, growth and recovery. This will be done through both individual and team education on sport-specific needs and through creating programs and resources to support our vision of "Every Athlete. Every meal."

Nike

Liberty's student-athletes, coaches and athletics administrators will continue to don the finest apparel and use the best equipment in collegiate athletics, as Nike has extended its contract with Liberty through 2024. Nike will continue to provide apparel and equipment for all 20 of Liberty's NCAA Division I athletics programs and expand its support of the football program as it begins a two-year Football Bowl Subdivision reclassification process. Liberty Athletics first entered into a long-term partnership with Nike as its official footwear and apparel provider in 2009. The recent contract extension lengthens Liberty's working relationship with Nike for another seven years.
