Final Results

Jonathan Yaun and Josh Ryan paced No. 41 Liberty's seventh-place finish at the General Hackler Championship with a pair of top-10 individual finishes.

Yaun (72-67-72) and Ryan (71-66-74) each carded a 5-under par 211 during their three trips around The Dunes Golf & Beach Club (par 72, 7,233 yards) the last two days.

Three out of Liberty's five starters finished the Coastal Carolina event in red figures, with Isaac Simmons finishing tied for 20th place with a 1-under par 215 (73-70-72).

Yaun and Simmons each carded 11 birdies during the event, while Ryan and Yaun paced Liberty with 37 pars each.

This is Yaun's first top-10 finish in four tries at this event. His previous best finish was in 2020 when he finished tied for 18th place with an even par 216 (73-72-71).

As a team, Liberty finished the tournament with four eagles and ranked fourth in the 14-team field with 163 pars. Liberty finished the event in seventh place with a final team score of 8-under par 856 (290-275-291).

The 14-team field featured 13 teams who entered the week ranked inside the top 100 Golfstat national rankings.

No. 45 East Tennessee took home the team title thanks to a final round 4-under par 840 and a three-round total of 24-under par 840 (274-282-284).

No. 16 Virginia was not able to keep pace with ETSU during the final round and finished in second place with an 18-under par 846 (279-275-292).

East Tennessee State's Mats Ege (67-67-69) and No. 16 Ben James of Virginia (68-65-70) shared individual medalist honors with a 13-under par 203.

The Flames will continue their busy Spring Break week schedule this weekend when they return to the course for the Schenkel Invitational, Friday – Sunday, at the Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga.
