Liberty Head Football Coach Hugh Freeze held his weekly press conference, Monday, from the Media Room of the Liberty Football Center.
During the weekly press event, Freeze reflected on Liberty’s come-from-behind win at North Texas and previewed this week’s College for a Weekend/Family Weekend game against UMass.
After becoming bowl eligible last Saturday, Liberty (6-2) returns home to battle fellow FBS Independent squad UMass (1-6) at Williams Stadium.
The Flames and Minutemen are meeting for the second straight season in Lynchburg and for the fourth year in a row overall. Liberty owns a 2-1 lead in the head-to-head series, winning the last two meetings by a combined score of 108-21.
Liberty is 3-0 at home this season and has won a program-record 14 consecutive home games dating back to the 2019 season. That is the fourth-longest active home winning streak in FBS football.
