Turner Tied For Third While Liberty Sits In Fourth After Two Rounds At The PUPS Big South Championship

Coastal Carolina extended their lead to 14-strokes after shooting a 292 for the second straight day at the PUPS Big South Conference Men's Golf Championship at the par-72, 6,987 yard Limestone Springs Golf Course in Oneonta, Ala. on Tuesday afternoon.
Charleston Southern overtook Winthrop for second place after shooting a 296 on Tuesday. Winthrop sits two-strokes out of second place after shooting a 301 in round two. Liberty sits in fourth place, seven-strokes behind Winthrop and five-strokes ahead of fifth place Radford.
Dustin Johnson of Coastal Carolina shot a round best 67 to take a commanding six-stroke lead over Ryan Wilson of High Point, who shot 71 on Tuesday and sits even for the tournament. Zack Byrd of Coastal Carolina is tied with Michael Turner of Liberty tied for third at one-over. Turner entered the day tied for 11th before shooting a 69 which was good for the second lowest round of the day.
Liberty is 23-strokes off the lead after improving on their round one score by seven-strokes. Jay Calvo shot a 73 and sits tied for ninth at six-over par. Parker McKoy is at 10-over par while Stephen Hawk is at 14-over par. Rounding out the Flames' squad is Andrew Nelson who is at 15-over par.
The third and final round will take place tomorrow with the first tee times starting at 7:45 a.m. local time at the par-72, 6,987 yard Limestone Springs Golf Course.
