Liberty (13-9), coming off of a 12-0 homestand, heads to the Bluegrass State for its ASUN opener, Wednesday and Thursday with a three-game series at Eastern Kentucky (15-8).

Due to scheduling conflicts, Liberty's originally-scheduled game for Thursday, at No. 14 Kentucky, has been cancelled and will not be made up.

• Liberty is in search of its first win over a Top 25 team on the season, as the Lady Flames have gone 0-6 against nationally-ranked opponents in 2023. That includes one-run losses to No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 2 UCLA and an extra-innings setback to No. 16 Duke.

• The Lady Flames have outscored opponents 100-28 during their current 12-game winning streak, with Karlie Keeney (8-0, 0.89) and Paige Bachman (3-0, 0.65) tossing stellar outings during that span. On offense, Rachel Roupe has batted .500 with 17 RBI during the last 12 games, while Caroline Hudson hit .444 with five doubles, seven homers and 20 RBI during that same span.

• Savannah Woodard capped an 11-run second inning last Thursday against Ball State. Liberty's last 11-run inning before that came on March 6, 2021 against Longwood. That same exact date, March 6, 2021, Woodard hit her first collegiate grand slam, playing for Alabama, versus UNI.

• This is the second year in a row in which Liberty opens ASUN play at EKU. Last year, Liberty came back from a 6-2 deficit to win 10-6 its ASUN opener at EKU. The Lady Flames are 55-8 in ASUN regular-season games since joining the conference, including an NCAA-best 23-1 conference record in 2023.

• Karlie Keeney (8-5, 2.18 ERA) is tied for the ASUN lead in victories and is tied for 15th in the nation with three shutouts.  Paige Bachman (4-3, 2.06) went 2-0 with a 0.54 ERA last week.

• Liberty boasts five .300 batters, with KK Madrey (.292) closing in and posting a team-leading nine steals. Rachel Roupe (.340) has driven in 18 runs, including two grand slams, while Caroline Hudson (.328) leads all ASUN players with eight home runs to go along with 22 RBI. Rachel Craine (.326) hit her first homer of the season on Friday against Fairfield, while Mary Claire Wilson (.322) has Liberty's lone four-hit game of the season to date. Devyn Howard (.300) ranks third in the ASUN with 22 runs scored.
