For the second time this season and the third time in her career, Liberty’s Bridgette Rettstatt has been recognized as ASUN Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday.

Rettstatt, who was previously honored on Dec. 20, becomes the first Lady Flame ever to earn multiple ASUN Player of the Week honors within a single season. Her three career ASUN Player of the Week awards are the most of any Liberty women’s basketball player.

A redshirt senior forward from Galena, Ohio, Rettstatt led the Lady Flames in scoring (15.0 ppg) and steals (2.5 spg) during a 2-0 week while tying for second in rebounds (5.5 rpg).

Rettstatt did it all during Saturday’s 65-53 Senior Day win over Stetson at Liberty Arena. She matched her season highs for points (24) and steals (3) while shooting 11-of-15 from the field and grabbing nine rebounds.

Rettstatt’s big week enabled her to continue climbing Liberty’s all-time charts. She currently ranks No. 10 all-time for the Lady Flames with 794 rebounds and is No. 13 with 1,159 points. Rettstatt is only 22 points away from joining the top 10 in that category.

Rettstatt and the Lady Flames (25-2, 13-1 ASUN) will wrap up the regular season with a pair of contests this week. Liberty will host ASUN East Division co-leader FGCU Thursday at 7 p.m. at Liberty Arena before traveling to Kennesaw State Saturday at 4 p.m. for the regular-season finale.
