Quast Named to ASUN Winners for Life Team

7/5/2022 9:33:41 AM | Women's Lacrosse

Hannah Quast of the Liberty lacrosse team was named to the 2021-22 ASUN Spring Winners for Life team.

The team is composed of one student-athlete from each of the 12 ASUN member institutions and honors those who display excellence on and off the playing surface.

The Winners for Life team honors a campus citizen that is respected as one who shares and/or demonstrates the ASUN Core Values: Education, Honesty, Student-Athlete Experience, Fairness, Health, Ambition, Respect, Diversity, Inclusion, Leadership, Responsibility and Sportsmanship. To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must have competed in the current academic year in an ASUN sponsored sport and be in good academic standing at his/her university.

Quast, a native of Mullica Hill, N.J., graduated in May with a master’s degree in human services with a focus on addiction and recovery. She earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with cognates in sport management, family and child development and behavioral sciences in May 2020.

After missing nearly two years due to injury, Quast enjoyed a successful senior season for the Lady Flames, earning ASUN All-Conference first team, ASUN All-Tournament team and VaSID All-State first team accolades. The defender led Liberty in caused turnovers with 33 and finished second on the squad in ground balls with 43. Quast paced the ASUN in caused turnovers per game (1.74), ranking No. 18 in the nation in the category (1.74) for a Liberty defense which led the country in caused turnovers per game (13.58). The senior had 11 games with multiple caused turnovers and 13 games with two or more ground balls.

Quast added two goals, two points and one draw control and started all 19 games in 2022.
