Liberty’s Top Storylines
• Guard Darius McGhee has 2,347 career points and is 27 points away from becoming the school’s new all-time leading scorer. He is No. 2 in program history, behind only Karl Hess (2,373 points, 1977-80).
• Liberty is third in the country in total three-pointers (259) and fourth in three-pointers per game (11.3). The Flames are also No. 4 nationally in scoring margin (16.8), No. 5 in scoring defense (57.9), No. 5 in assist/turnover ratio (1.64), No. 6 in effective field goal percentage (57.5) and No. 9 in assists per game (17.5).
• This is the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs but first in ASUN competition. The Governors hold a 2-1 series edge. Liberty’s one victory over Austin Peay was a 79-73 overtime win at the Vines Center on Feb. 23, 2013.
• McGhee (21.0 ppg) ranks No. 2 in the nation in both three-point field goals per game (4.52) and total three-pointers made (104). McGhee has 470 career three-pointers, fourth most in NCAA DI history.
• Liberty is 16-2 over its last 18 games.
• The Flames and Kennesaw State Owls are tied atop the ASUN standings at 9-1.
• A win over the Governors would give Liberty its fifth straight season with 10 or more ASUN wins.
