Brooke Bryan and Carly White of the Liberty lacrosse team swept the ASUN Conference Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards today.

Bryan earned her first career ASUN Player of the Week honor, while White was recognized as the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career.

Bryan scored six goals in two games for Liberty, four against Coastal Carolina on Saturday and two at No. 8 Duke, Tuesday night. The attacker scored four goals in Liberty's 14-13 comeback victory at home against the Chanticleers. All four of her goals came in the first 10:10 of the second half, with the fourth marker giving Liberty a 10-9 edge.

The Lady Flames had trailed the Chanticleers 8-4 at the half before mounting the comeback. Bryan converted her only free-position attempt and also had two ground balls and a caused turnover in the contest. On Tuesday at No. 8 Duke, Bryan scored two times. One of her goals was on a free-position attempt. Through 12 games this season, she leads the team in goals (29), points (33) and shots (50). She has six straight multiple-goal efforts and eight in 12 games.

White scooped up seven ground balls and had three caused turnovers in the two games. The fifth-year senior had five draw controls as well. The midfielder from Marietta, Ga. collected four ground balls and had two caused turnovers in the win over Coastal Carolina. She had three ground balls and a caused turnover at No. 8 Duke.

In eight games this season, White ranks second on the team with 23 ground balls and also has 13 caused turnovers. She is currently second in program history with 216 career draw controls. The current program record is 233 draw controls, set by Brianna McCaffrey (2016-19).

Bryan, White and Liberty (6-6) will play their first ASUN game of the season on Friday against Kennesaw State (5-6, 1-0 ASUN). Game time is set for 1 p.m. at the Liberty Lacrosse Field. Friday is Senior Day for the Lady Flames, as they will honor five seniors (White, Grace Fletcher, Sarah Steenson, Claire Bratchie and Maddi Little) prior to the game.
