The Liberty women's tennis team has announced the addition of Maria Juliana Parra Romero for the 2021-22 school year.
"Juli has a game that is built for success in college," stated Liberty Women's Tennis Head Coach Jeff Maren. "On top of that, she is an amazing individual who will fit in nicely with our team and culture. We are excited to welcome her into our family and can't wait to have her join us on campus!"
Parra Romero hails from Bucaramanga, Colombia and has reached No. 1 in Colombia's junior tennis rankings. Her highest ITF ranking is No. 527, and her top WTA ranking is No. 1371.
"I choose Liberty because I could see a big family, and for me, that's one of the most important things in choosing the university," Parra Romero said. "I think that the facilities are beautiful, and I think I connect really well with the coaches."
Parra Romero joins a Lady Flames recruiting class which also includes Maretha Burger, Elsa Kirch and Willa Rogers.
