    Scoring Summary
Liberty – 1st INNING – Allan singles to right, Hudson advances, Howard scores, 1-0

    Notable Numbers
    – Liberty outhit Kennesaw State 9-5, while both teams committed one error each. KSU left six runners on base, while the Lady Flames stranded five.

    – Naomi Jones (2-0) earned the win, allowing one run on five hits, walking one in four innings. McKenzie Wagoner pitched three innings of scoreless relief for her second save of the season, walking one and striking out three.

    – Melanie Bennett (9-10) drew the loss, allowing six runs (four earned) on nine hits, walking one and fanning five.

    – Mary Claire Wilson batted 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while Rachel Roupe went 1-for-3 with a homer and two RBI. Paige Bachman, making her first career start at first base, batted 1-for-3 with an RBI.

    – Five different Owls had one hit each, with Kiera Cooper doubling and scoring and Ty Hardeman driving in KSU’s lone run.

    Turning Point
    – Liberty built a 4-0 lead through four innings and had allowed just one hit to that point. KSU recorded four straight hits to start the fifth inning, and Jones left the game with nobody out and the bases loaded. Wagoner came in and struck out the next two batters before getting out of the jam with a groundout.

    – The Lady Flames added two runs in the sixth, and that was more than enough insurance for Wagoner, and she tossed three total hitless innings to wrap up the save.
