Thoughts from Head Coach Lang Wedemeyer

"We certainly put a lot of pressure on them in the second half and had our chances. The difficult thing is we had a free kick goal when had been talking a lot about that because we gave up those kind of goals at Pitt and Penn State so that was disappointing. Credit to our girls for coming back but this was a game at home we really needed to win so now we have to regroup and get ready for a really tough Florida Gulf Coast team on Sunday."

Up Next

Liberty will wrap up its first homestand of conference play when the Lady Flames host FGCU on Sunday, Sept. 18. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Osborne Stadium and can be seen on ESPN+.
