Liberty Releases First Look Inside the New FOC Locker Room

5/14/2019 12:00:00 AM | Football

Excitement continues to build with renovations to the Williams Football Operations Center near the midway point, including a new look at the graphics package inside the locker room.

Today's release gives an inside look at the graphics that will modernize the new 122-player locker room, located on the first floor of the renovated FOC building. The entire three-floor football operations center will feature a dynamic graphic arts packages, helping promote the ever growing Liberty Football brand.

Shortly after the conclusion of the 2018 football season, Liberty's first campaign at the FBS level, the Williams Football Operations Center started a $25 million renovation project, which is scheduled for completion in January 2020.

The current renovation project will dramatically expand the footprint of the existing building. The project will add 18,000 additional square feet to the facility to bring the new building's usable space to 65,455 square feet.

A construction timeline is in place so that the locker room and training room facilities will be functional in time for the start of the 2019 football season, Liberty's first under new head football coach Hugh Freeze.

During his first season on Liberty Mountain, Freeze will look to build off of Liberty's success during its first year at the FBS level. In 2018, the Flames posted a 6-6 record, becoming the ninth team in NCAA history to win six or more games during its first season at college football's top level of competition.

With Freeze at the helm of Liberty's program that returns 15 offensive and defensive starters, the Flames will look to qualify for their first bowl game in program history.
