Liberty Receives Votes For The Mid-Major Top 25 For Second Week In A Row

Liberty University's men's basketball program received 18 votes in the recent Collegeinsider.com Top-25 poll. The Flames are off to a 6-1 start which is the best in the Randy Dunton era.
The Flames are one of two Big South teams to receive votes as Winthrop is ranked eighth in the most recent poll.
"It is nice to be recognized, but it is still very early in the season," said Dunton. "We need to stay focused and stay engaged with the ability to improve everyday."
In addition to Winthrop, three other schools that appear on Liberty's schedule received votes. Oral Roberts is ranked 16th, and Buffalo and Lipscomb received votes.
The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Continent, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Sun Belt and, West Coast.
