Liberty Falls to Central Arkansas 2-1

The Central Arkansas Bears held off the Liberty Flames 2-1 in an ASUN match on Senior Night, Friday evening at Osborne Stadium.
Despite being outshot, Central Arkansas built a 2-0 lead early in the second half but then had to fend off a late charge by Liberty for the win.
Michael Huss scored his first goal of the season during the 73rd minute to pull the Flames within one. However, they could not find the equalizer during the final 27 minutes.
Liberty falls to 3-5-5 overall and 1-3-2 in ASUN play. Central Arkansas improves to 6-4-3 overall and moves to 5-1-1 in the conference.

Turning Point
After trimming its deficit to 2-1, Liberty continued on the attack, forcing a turnover in the midfield and sending the ball into the 18-yard box during the 75th minute. Forward Luke Eberle was able to get a foot on the ball in front of the net, lifting a shot. Central Arkansas goalkeeper Zach Schwal got his right hand on it and deflected it wide of the net to prevent the Flames' goal.
