Liberty Drops Big South Match To Coastal Carolina

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers won its second consecutive conference match against Liberty Flames, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at the Joseph Holiday Courts.

With its sixth consecutive win, Coastal Coastal runs its record to 10-3 overall and 2-1 in Big South match play, while Liberty falls to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in conference.

The Chanticleers took the doubles point by winning all three doubles matches.

The Flames garner two victories in singles as Coastal Carolina clinched the team victory. Joseph Winters (Fr., Peoria, Ill.) won the #5 singles match over Richard Redding, 6-4, 1-6, 10-8, while Sebastian Pena defeated Ryan Weisband at #6 singles match 6-3, 7-5 for the Flames.

Liberty continues their Spring Break road trip with a visit to Charleston Southern, Monday. Match time is scheduled for Noon.
