Liberty remains unbeaten in its last five contests as the Lady Flames defeated UNCG, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Osborne Stadium. Liberty concludes its non-conference schedule with a 5-3-1 record, the most non-conference wins for Liberty since 2012.

Turning Point

Liberty and UNCG went back-and-forth trying to control possession and develop an offensive attack throughout the first half. Both teams were struggling to get quality looks on goal with both teams each attempted four shots. The Spartans were able to get three shots on goal while limiting Liberty to one, as the game was tied at 0-0 heading into halftime. Liberty was able to turn the corner early in the second half with two goals within a minute-span that changed the game. In the 56th minute, Shevaun Judon would score off a UNCG clear out. Less than a minute later Kasey Jamieson would score off a free kick from 20-yards out that secured the win for Liberty.
