    Liberty will host Stetson in its second ASUN Conference game of the season, Saturday afternoon. The contest will start at noon at the Liberty Lacrosse Field.

    Liberty (7-5, 1-0 ASUN) is tied atop the top of the ASUN standings in the early portion of conference play with Jacksonville (7-3, 1-0 ASUN) and Kennesaw State (9-4, 1-0 ASUN). The Lady Flames topped Delaware State 22-5 in their ASUN home opener, last Saturday. Stetson (3-8, 0-1 ASUN) fell 19-10 to Kennesaw State in its first ASUN contest.

    Lady Flames News and Notes
    • Liberty is 3-0 all-time versus Stetson and 2-0 against the Hatters since joining the ASUN.
    • Liberty is among others receiving votes in the ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll.
    • Defender Alexa Evernham earned her first career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honor, Tuesday. The Swedesboro, N.J. native tallied four caused turnovers and three ground balls in home games last week versus No. 7 Duke and Delaware State (ASUN opener). Evernham also scored her first career goal against the Hornets and added her third career assist.
    • The Lady Flames have featured four ASUN weekly awards winners so far this season: Evernham (DPOW, Tuesday), Mia Toscano (DPOW, March 29), Mikayla Coghill (DPOW, March 15) and Jordan Baerga (POW, Feb. 15).
    • Liberty is ranked No. 51 in the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse RPI listing. Stetson is 96th in the RPI.
    • The Lady Flames are currently the No. 2-ranked team in the nation in caused turnovers per game (13.17) and rank fourth in the country in ground balls per game (20.75).
    • Liberty features four players in the top 40 in the nation in caused turnovers per game, led by defender Alexa Evernham (No. 24, 1.67). Mia Toscano is No. 16 in the country in ground balls per game (2.91).
    • Liberty was picked to finish second in the ASUN Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll, behind only four-time defending champion Jacksonville.
    • Saturday’s game will wrap up a four-game homestand for the Lady Flames. Liberty’s next game will be at No. 11 James Madison (8-4), Wednesday at 6 p.m.
