The Lady Flames are making their first trip ever to Eastern Kentucky, and went 1-1 at Bellarmine during the spring of 2021.

Current Liberty head coach Trevor Johnson and first-year Bellarmine head coach Rick Nold will be meeting for the first time as head coaches. However, they met three times when Johnson was an assistant coach at Texas A&M (2016-17) and Nold was head coach at Auburn. A&M went 3-0 in those meetings.

Last Friday, Liberty posted its first-ever win over Kennesaw State, holding the Owls to a season-low .073 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep. Liberty held the top two hitting teams in the conference (KSU and JSU) to a .117 hitting percentage last weekend.

Trinity Watts was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. She averaged 2.00 blocks per set last weekend, including a career-high 11 blocks against Jacksonville State. Watts recorded 15 kills, 11 blocks and 13 digs against JSU, the first Lady Flame since Jade Craycraft on Nov. 8, 2013 against High Point with a triple-double.

Erica Lowery dished out a career-high 10 assists last Friday against KSU and added 13 digs. She is the first Liberty libero with a double-double since Gabrielle Shipe, Sept. 26, 2014 against Radford.

Delaney Dilfer ranks second in the ASUN (20th nationally) with 10.70 assists per set. She leads Liberty with eight double-doubles, and is the first Lady Flame since Amaya Williams in Feb. 2021 with three straight double-doubles.
