Liberty swimmers completed their regular-season schedule by competing at the fourth- annual Liberty Last Chance Meet.

This weekend's meet gave swimmers a chance to attain lifetime best times on the last date of the 2020-21 swimming & diving regular season.

• Jr. Emma Hazel – 100 back (54:95), 200 fly (2:04.47), 50 free (23.91)
• Jr. Sophia Miller – 100 fly (56.23), 200 back (2:01.95)
• So. Rachel Strickland – 100 back (55.79), 200 back (2:01.66)
• Fr. Sydney Houtz – 50 free (23.54)
• So. Jessica Schellenboom – 50 free (23.62)
• Fr. Heather Gardner – 200 breast (2:20.68)
• Fr. Chloe Harris – 100 breast (1:04.82) 
• Fr. Amelia Warren – 200 fly (2:06.86)

Notable
• Liberty's swimmers collected a total of 35 lifetime-best swims this weekend and made several additions to the team's all-time top 10 lists.

• Hazel's 54.95 for 100 backstroke now ranks sixth all-time at Liberty, as she is the sixth swimmer in program history to break 55 second in the 100 back. Hazel also entered sixth place on Liberty's all-time top 10 list in the 200 fly with her 2:04.47.

• Miller now ranks 10th in program history with her 56.23 in the 100 fly from this weekend.  

• Amelia Warren's 2:06.86 200 fly finished just outside of Liberty's all-time top 10, in 11th.

• Liberty hosted James Madison and University of Lynchburg this weekend.  

• This is the fourth year in a row that Liberty has hosted a last-chance meet.

Selections for the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will be released by the NCAA on Wednesday. Payton Keiner is on the bubble in the 200 backstroke at 1:54.73, and will see on Wednesday whether she has been selected to compete.

Additionally, tomorrow Maddie Freece and Lauren Chennault will likely be selected to compete at the NCAA Zone Diving Meet, held March 11-13 in Greensboro, N.C.
