Holmes and Mitrevski Named to VaSID All-State Men’s Soccer Team
Liberty forward Noah Holmes and midfielder Marko Mitrevski have been selected to the 2021 Virginia Sports Information Director Men’s Soccer Fall All-State University Division.
Holmes and Mitrevski were each named to the second team.
Mitrevski earns his second selection to a VaSID All-State team. The midfielder was named the 2021 Spring VaSID All-State first team.
Mitrevski was selected to the ASUN All-Conference first team for the second straight season this past fall. The midfielder has scored three goals and had two assists for eight points. The Rochester, N.Y. native was tabbed the ASUN Player of the Week for Nov. 2, after posting the first two-goal game of his career in a 4-1 victory over North Florida on Oct. 30.
The junior has started 15 games and is one of five Flames who played over 1,000 minutes, this fall. The midfielder finished the year, averaging 79 minutes per game.
Holmes garners his first selection to a VaSID All-State team. The forward was named to his first ASUN All-Conference team this fall by being named to the second team.
Holmes led the Flames in goals with six goals and points with 14. The sophomore forward also has two assists. He finished tied for sixth in the ASUN in goals and tied for seventh in the conference in points.
In addition, the Apex, N.C., native, who has averaged 70 minutes per game during the fall, finished the year sixth in the conference with a 1.00 points per game average. Holmes also was named to the 2021 ASUN All-Academic team.
