During a year where Liberty’s student-athletes are succeeding at the national level, the Flames are also continuing their success in the classroom.

Following the conclusion of the 2021-22 academic year, Liberty Athletics continues to have 19 of its 20 NCAA Division I athletics programs maintain a 3.0 or higher team cumulative GPA.

Liberty Athletics finished the 2021-22 academic year with a 3.27 cumulative GPA, matching the second highest recorded mark in athletics department history.

Liberty’s Academic Affairs for Athletics staff continues to be one of the driving forces behind Flames student-athletes succeeding in the classroom.

After guiding Liberty’s student-athletes through the uncharted territories of virtual learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, Liberty Academic Affairs for Athletics staff has seamlessly helped the Flames’ student-athletes transition back to a more traditional in-classroom learning experience.

This group of dedicated individuals spends countless hours each week working alongside Liberty’s 590-plus student-athletes. The staff continues to help Liberty student-athletes thrive in their pursuit of academic, athletic, social and spiritual development.
