Over the final 20 minutes, the Flames tried to find the equalizer, including a shot attempt in the last minute but came away empty.

Jovoney Brown, who collected the pass and found himself one-on-one with the Liberty goalkeeper Blake Franzen, pushed a shot into the left side of the net for a 2-1 lead.

Liberty continued on the attack and had several shots over the final 20 minutes but could not find the equalizer. In the last minute, the Flames received a free kick just to the left of the box. Liberty’s Skyler Stricker was able to get a shot off the reset, but FGCU goalkeeper Wyatt Kinzer made the stop.
