Liberty’s Omar El Kadi split his pair of matches on the first day of competition at the ITA Atlantic Regional, Wednesday afternoon at the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar’s Head Resort.

El Kadi, competing in the Bronze singles draw (pre-qualifying), went 1-1 today in singles. The Cairo, Egypt native was the lone Flame to compete today.

Key Stats & Notes
• El Kadi won his first match of the day (noon start) in straight sets (6-4, 7-5) against Villanova’s Justin Suarez.
• He then went on to face Duquesne’s Kaipo Marshall in a 2:45 p.m. contest. Marshall topped El Kadi 6-3, 6-0.
• El Kadi entered the day with a 1-0 singles record this fall and now stands at 2-1.
