Chennault Named CCSA Diver of the Week

After posting season-best performances at the TYR Senior Celebration Meet, Liberty senior Lauren Chennault was named CCSA Women’s Diver of the Week.

Chennault receives her program-record fifth career CCSA Diver of the Week honor, and first since Jan. 26, 2021. She is the first Lady Flame to be named CCSA Diver of the Week at least once in all four years of her career. The senior joins teammate Maddie Freece (Oct. 26, Jan. 11) as Lady Flames to receive the honor this season.

A native of Coppell, Texas, Chennault had her best meet of the season to date, leading all divers in combined points at the TYR Senior Celebration. She scored season bests on both boards, beginning with a winning score of 271.05 on three-meter on Friday night.  She then scored a season-best 260.70 to place second on one-meter on Saturday.

Liberty will host the CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships, Feb. 16-19 at the Liberty Natatorium. The Lady Flames, hosting the CCSA Championships for the third time in the last four years, are aiming for their fourth straight CCSA title.
