After helping Liberty tip off ASUN Conference play with a pair of victories during the first two starts of her collegiate career, Jordan Bailey has been named the ASUN Newcomer of the Week.

She shot 57.1 percent (12-of-21) from the field, 33.3 percent (2-of-6) from three-point range and 50 percent (2-of-4) from the foul line. Bailey’s efforts helped the short-handed Lady Flames win 65-49 at Stetson on Wednesday and post a 68-58 home victory over Kennesaw State on Saturday.
Bailey played a career-high 36 minutes during the win at Stetson, scoring 14 points and matching her career high of eight rebounds. She never came off the floor during the second half, tallying 10 points to help Liberty break open a close game.
Bailey added 14 more points on Saturday against Kennesaw State. Nine of those markers came during the first half, as the Lady Flames took control of the game early on. It marked Bailey’s fifth time scoring in double figures in the last six outings.
