    ASUN Conference Unveils 2022-23 Men’s Basketball Schedule

    As Liberty prepares for its fifth and final season of ASUN Conference men’s basketball, the 2022-23 conference schedule was released on Thursday.

    Each of the ASUN’s 14 members will play 18 conference games (nine home, nine away). Liberty will face five ASUN opponents twice (Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Queens) and the other eight conference foes once apiece.

    What’s New?

    Austin Peay and Queens will officially join the ASUN Conference on July 1, boosting the league membership to 14 schools.

    The conference will not utilize divisions this season, after featuring an East Division and West Division in 2021-22.

    Firsts

    The Flames will tip off ASUN play at Bellarmine, in a game that features that last two teams that have been crowned ASUN Tournament Champions. Liberty will face Lipscomb (Jan. 2) for its first ASUN game at Liberty Arena.

    Liberty will face conference newcomers Austin Peay (Feb. 2 on the road) and meet Queens (Feb. 22 on the road, Feb. 24 at home) for the second time in program history and first since 1984.

    The following ASUN teams will make their first-ever appearance at Liberty Arena this season: Central Arkansas (Jan. 14), and Queens (Feb. 24).Liberty will play its first-ever games at Jacksonville State’s Pete Mathews Coliseum (Feb. 18) and Queens’ Curry Arena (Feb. 22).
