2023 Football Spring Practice – Week 3 in Review

For the second week in a row, the Flames hit the practice field three times during their weekday schedule as part of Liberty’s annual spring practice schedule.
The Flames held early morning workouts on Monday, Tuesday and Friday to prepare for their second scrimmage of the spring, which will take place on Saturday. Saturday’s scrimmage will be Liberty’s 10th out of 15 scheduled spring practice sessions.

Following the Saturday scrimmage, Liberty will have a lighter schedule next week. The Flames will only practice on Monday and Tuesday mornings. As a reminder, all of Liberty’s spring practice workouts are closed to the general public.
Prior to this week’s practices on Tuesday and Friday, the media spoke with some of Liberty’s new assistant coaches and two offseason transfers.
- Co-Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs Coach Newland Isaac
- OL Coach Bill Durkin
- Junior wide receiver Reese Smith
- Senior quarterback Trey Lowe
Flames Central also followed Durkin and the Flames’ offensive line for a mic’d up segment during practice this week.
The Flames will cap off their spring practice season with Liberty’s annual Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 15. This event is free and open to the public and gets underway at 1:30 p.m. inside Williams Stadium. Click here for more information about Liberty’s annual Spring Football game.
