Liberty Men's Tennis Head Coach Derek Schwandt announced the addition of Kenan Bell as a volunteer assistant coach on Dec. 18, 2018.
"We are so excited to bring Kenan on board to work with our team. He is a gifted communicator, motivator and relationship builder," Schwandt said. "He has a strong passion for Liberty University and the mission to Train Champions for Christ. He will make an immediate impact on the mentorship and character development of our team."
Bell is very familiar with Liberty, as he was a four-year starter on the Flames men's tennis team from 2001-05. Bell earned a bachelor's degree in computer management information systems from Liberty in 2005.
"I'm truly honored to officially be part of the coaching staff of the men's tennis team here at Liberty University," Bell stated. "I look forward to investing in these student-athletes as much as this university and athletic department has invested in me and my family throughout the years."
Bell currently works as a Principal at Yorktown Funds in Lynchburg. He and his wife, Bethany, currently reside in Lynchburg with their two children, Ivory and Hudson.
