Former Liberty softball standout Alexia Taylor joined Dot Richardson's staff in August 2018, and currently serves as director of opertaions.
Taylor was elevated to Director of Operations after serving as a graduate assistant during the 2018-19 academic year. A native of Oviedo, Fla., Taylor batted .302 for her career at Liberty (2015-18), graduating as the program career record holder with 10 sacrifice flies. Upon graduation, she ranked in the top 10 in program history in nine different statistical categories. She was the fourth player in program history with 200 or more career hits, 100 or more career runs scored and 100 or more RBI.
A highly decorated player, Taylor was voted the 2015 Big South Freshman of the Year. Additionally, she was named to the Big South All-Conference second team as a third baseman in both 2015 and 2017. Taylor received Big South All-Tournament Team honors as both a junior and a senior, becoming the first player in program history to be named to the Big South All-Tournament team in back-to-back years. Taylor graduated from Liberty in May 2018 with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in elementary education.
