Megan Sabella joined the Flames Club team in Feb. 2014, assuming the position of Director of Donor Relations. She was promoted to Director of Flames Club Operations in May of 2017.
In her current role, Sabella helps formulate and execute all strategies, policies and procedures necessary to operate the Flames Club and expand the number of donors and dollars contributed to Liberty Athletics. During her three years with the Flames Club, membership has increased by 65 percent, growing from 625 members in 2013 before Robinson arrived, to 1,030 members in 2016. A total of $3.9 million dollars has been contributed to Liberty Athletics during the three-year time period.
Sabella has primary responsibility for the donor experience, including management of football game day events for 1,500 members and guests in the 71 Club, 18 luxury suites, Club Pavilion and Flames Club Tent. She is responsible for fulfillment of member benefits and privileges, including priority seating and parking for football, basketball and baseball. Robinson coordinates daily Flames Club operations, including directing more than 50 annual events, managing the annual budget, serving as the liaison with University Marketing and supervising other staff members.
Sabella graduated from Liberty in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion merchandising and interiors with a minor in business and was a four-year member of the Liberty cheerleading team. In 2013, she received her Master of Arts degree from Liberty in human services with a specialization in business. Sabella is from Chesterfield, Va. and currently resides in Lynchburg, Va.
